HE IS RISEN! He is Risen, Indeed! Celebrate the most Holy of all days this Easter Sunday as we remember that Jesus Christ did not stay in that tomb. He took the punishment that we deserve in order that we may be saved from that punishment. And then He rose from the dead and lives forever with the promise that we will live forever with Him. There is no greater promise, no greater Hope than this. He Lives friends. Thank God, He lives.
Maundy Thursday is the start of a very important gift from Jesus Christ to all those that believe in Him as their Savior who made the ultimate sacrifice for the forgiveness of their sins. Jesus loved all twelve of the disciples, even the one that He knew would be the one to betray Him. Jesus did not betray Judas that night. He showed us the example of loving our enemies even when it counts more than any of will ever know. This is the love of the new covenant. The Love that Jesus has for you today.
Today's sermon is "I Know in Whom I Believe". Philippians 2:6-11 Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross. Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Jesus is Love. Jesus knows every single detail about you and yet He loves you. He loves you enough to give His life for you. Jesus is power. Everything that was created, was created because Jesus spoke it into existence. And yet Jesus lived in humility. He is worthy of all our praise. Even if none praised Him, the rocks would cry out praises for his Glory and yet He died a criminal's death on the cross. We are called to reflect Jesus. We are called to be his hands and feet in action. We are called to be more like Him every day. Know in whom you believe. Know Jesus and spread His Love.
Today’s message is “The Blessing of Truth and Confession”. The question has often been asked and we have all wondered from time to time “What is truth?” The dictionary is definitely NOT the place to go to find the definition of truth. This world has all but relegated truth to an outdated concept. As Christians, we know that the answer to “what is truth?” is best answered with Who and not what. We know that Truth is Jesus Christ. Jesus said “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to The Father unless they come through me.” He also said that the truth will set you free. Confession is good for the soul. Jesus already knows every detail about us and He promises to love us no matter what. He forgives. He died on the cross to forgive all that believe and give their lives to Him. James 5:16 Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.
Today's message is "Who Am I". The world will say that we are many things. The devil will say that we are many things. All that matters is what God says that we are. It is only up to us to believe. Jesus sacrificed to say that we are redeemed, to say that our strength is in Him, to say that we are His. The world says that we are not good enough. Jesus says that we are made good through Him. Luke 10:38-42 As Jesus and the disciples continued on their way to Jerusalem, they came to a certain village where a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord’s feet, listening to what he taught. But Martha was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing. She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.” But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.” The world says we need to worry. Jesus says leave your cares with me. All we have to do is trust in Jesus Christ, pray and believe in who we are according to Him, not according to the lies that we hear everyday.
Today’s message is “Contemplation & Change.” The revival that God is moving right now, right here is real and we can feel it. There are no excuses left for any of us to hide behind. The video today talks about “big buts” We all have excuses and the devil loves to make more of them every day. One big “excuse” that many of us feel right now is the feeling that we have lost the cultural war, that the world has won so why should we continue to try? Guess what? Maybe we forget from time to time but we live in a fallen world. We are not called to save the world or even to change the world. We are called to serve. We are called to love. Yes, we are called to show them the way. And yes, we are called live out the example of Holy living, but we are not called to be “holier than thou” Christians. We are called to share the word, not to use it as a weapon against those who do not yet believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The good news is that, although the world is fallen and we have lost the cultural battle, God is in control. Jesus will reign. We are called to serve. We are not called to win. God has already won the war.
James 4:7-10 So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. Let there be tears for what you have done. Let there be sorrow and deep grief. Let there be sadness instead of laughter, and gloom instead of joy. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.
