A Global Methodist Church
This week, Pastor Jon Encourages us to remember that Christ Jesus was born, and that's wonderful, but we need to take that message with us into the new year and into our lives to continue spreading the Good News that Jesus lived and died for all the world!
Join us in celebrating Christmas 2026 here at Damascus Methodist Church. Tonight we celebrate the birth of our savior Jesus Christ as we read the story of the miraculous virgin birth foretold by the profits and by the angels as they proclaimed the joy that would come to the earth because of the birth of The Son of God. He created everything on the earth and then came to save it through His sacrifice on the cross for forgiveness to all who believe and follow Him.
He Brings Love" - Can you feel it? We're just hours away from the coming of our Savior!! Look what god is doing? Stars, Angels, Wisemen, Sheperds, there's truly a feeling of CHANGE going on, AMEN?
Joy: Biblical joy is a deep, lasting contentment and delight rooted in God’s presence and promises, not temporary circumstances, making it a Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22) and an enduring state possible even through trails, unlike fleeting worldly happiness. It’s a spiritual gift and a chosen response to life, drawing from faith in Jesus, hope in His Word, and abiding in Him, providing strength and purpose beyond emotions.
Today’s message is titled “It’s Him, It’s Really Him!” The first person to recognize Jesus Christ when He came to earth as a human baby was John while they were still in their mothers’ wombs. John spent his life telling others the good news of Jesus Christ and how He came to save us from the punishment that we deserve for sin. Jesus came also to tell us about the life that we can have when we not only believe in Him but follow Him and live to be more like Him. In this world there will be trouble but take heart, Jesus Christ has overcome this world and He offers peace like none other. Believe and follow Him, lay your burdens on Him and know that peace today!
